Planned & Unplanned Breaks

• Planned Breaks: Our system integrates with your site calendar to preconfigure breaks, showing exactly when the crane was idle and for how long.
• Idle Time: Versatile provides insights into unscheduled breaks—periods longer than 15 minutes when the crane was expected to be utilized but remained idle. For shorter periods known as “motionless,” these are tracked down to the specific lift steps they correlate with.

Utilization Calculator

• Crane Operational Duration: We calculate this as the sum of all cycles from the first pick to the last of the business day, excluding planned breaks.
• Idle Time: This includes all unscheduled breaks and “motionless” times outside of rigging and unrigging phases.
• Crane Utilization Ratio: By comparing operational duration against idle time, this metric offers a clear picture of your crane’s efficiency.
